Holly, Nocdus and Rain Colud

Holly stopped at the foot of the mountains breathing hard. She looked back and saw Nocdus her 3 month old filly bouncing around Rain Colud trying to get him to play with her. "Typical" Holly thought " We walk all this way and Nocdus is running circles around a full grown stallion."

Cloud looked at Nodcus, knowing she wants to play. He stopped and when Nodcus went in front of him, he pushed her on the side with his nose, but gently, not knocking her down "Wanna play, huh?" he smiled at Nodcus and nuzzled her side again "Your it!" he laughed and flicked his tail.

Nocdus looked suprised for a second then grinned and said in her high pichted voice," I am going to get you!" she raced up to Cloud and tried to tap him with her muzzle and tripped preforming a wonerful sommersalt. she was sitting on her hind quarters looking quite suprised when a butterfly flew pat her, and forgetting all about playing tag with the stallion she leaped up and trotted after it.
Holly rolled her eyes Nocdus loved butterflys.

Cloud laughed at Nodcus "Butterfly lover, huh?" he smiled, watching Nodcus chasing the butterfly. He looked up at Holly "Thats one energic filly you got!" he smiled at her.

"Yes very energetic," Holly answered. "She has loved butterflys ever since she was born. When she first learned to stand a butterfly landed on her nose and ever sice she can't leave them alone!"

Cloud smiled "So should we get going, or rest for awhile?" he waited for her answer.

Holly tried to sound strong and said" Well maybe we should rest before climbing up" She smiled and lay down.

Cloud smiled "Well, ok." he layed down near her and watched as Nodcus playfully chased the butterfly, but he kept and eye on her, if she wanders too far.

Holly noticed him watching her foal and smilled, then she closed her eyes and dozed lightley.
Nocdus leaped higher and higher trying to catch the butterfly. Then somthing caught her eye, it was red and furry. She bounded over to investigate. The bushy red tail flashed in the bushes and Nocdus bent over and nipped it. The starrtled fox turrned and lunged at Nocdus. Squelling she tried to run but tripped as the fox hurrtled towards her.

Cloud suddenly got up and charged at the fox. He stood in front of Nodcus and pawed on the fox with his strong front hoofs. He stomped on the fox, almost killing it and it ran off. He turned at Nodcus and helped her up "Are you ok?" he asked worried.

Nocdus stared up at the stallion and said in a shakey voice " Yes he didn't get me," she stood up and cowerd near the stallion.
Holly had jumped up with renewd energy and was half a step behind Cloud when he attacked the fox.
Now she was grooming her foal vigourosly "Are you sure you are alright honey?" she asked. The foal was already forgeting her fear and said "I'm fine Mum!" Holly rolled her eyes

OOC-Kinda but not really lol

Cloud smiled at her "Well, since you are okay, thats good." he walked a step forward and watched them silently. He noticed the sun almost down and looked at them "We need to find a safe place for the night. Do you know any?" he waited for her answer.

Holly shock her head ," No I don't know of any where, but maybe in those trees over there" she looked past Cloud at a stand of trees.

Cloud looked in her direction "Well, sure, it looks safe enough." he walked to the place to investegate. It was safe so he called them.

Holly trotted up to Cloud and brushed her muzzle agaist his neck quickly and then lay down near a large oak tree. Nocdus walked slowly in to the trees and said " Are you sure there are no animals in here?"

Cloud turned at Nodcus "I know this place since your age. Its safe, don't worry." he smiled at her "Now get to sleep, we got a big day tomorrow!" he nodded and rested his head on the ground falling asleep.

Nocdus smiled " Ok Cloud thank you" then she lay down and fell asleep next to her mother.

Cloud smiled at them and drifted into sleep.



With the arrival of the morning, Cloud was the first one to wake up. He quietly got up and shaked his mane. He looked at them, waiting for them to get up.

Holly slowly came around and at frist she thought that she was still on her own then she smiled as she remeberd Cloud. Seeing him a few feet away she got up carfully so as not to wakr Nocdus and walked over to him. " Good Morning Cloud," She said quietly.
